Red face [Pre-Install] Bandwidth needed?

If Zimbra is installed on a remote server would I get a bandwidth charge for every email that is sent and/or received?

What about using Outlook? Would I get charged for 1) downloading the email into Outlook and 2) when I send emails from Outlook?

Sorry, I am pretty new to all this. Thanks!

Also, if I have a mailing list, would I get charged for every email sent?

Hello.

I'm not sure I understand the questions.

Of course sending/receiving mails "eats" bandwidth.
Just like browsing a website does.

You should ask the question to your hosting company.

Yes..you will be charged mostly a flat fee per monthly based on number of Zimbra accounts.
Almost all hosting comanies gives you enough bandwidth so you can send and receive Thousands of emails a month, you dont need to pay "per email".

You need to know that when you HOST with Hosting Company you are paying for lot more than bandwdith, i.e.:
1) Hardware/Server (shared or dedicated)
2) Data Centre Services (Rack Space, Electricity, Internet..)
3) Support/Management
4) Bandwidth

All the above in 1 flat fee per month

Hello,

I installed zimbra and I noticed that it eats the bandwidth allowed to me, I checked the bandwidth from the webmin statistics.

How you can help me with this matter?

Sincerely,

That would depend on the number of users you have and their habits in using the Zimbra server. You need to monitor how your users are using their system and what do you mean by 'eats the bandwidth' - any figures?
