Default Zimbra on Virtuozzo VPS.

Hi, All!

I have searched and read all the posts related to VPS deployment of Zimbra, and most of them appear to be OpenVZ related...

So, I am using a Virtuozzo VPS, and have successfully installed Zimbra on the machine. I did have to scale back Zimbra's memory limits to compensate for soft memory limits, etc.

Now that I'm up & running, the only thing that doesn't seem to want to kick in is the server status display in the admin console.

Normally, the logs will show the status at regular intervals, but I do not see this in /var/log/syslog, or /var/log/zimbra.log

The zmlogger, swatch, and logswatch processes all seem to be running, and cron is installed and functioning.

Any suggestions?

Cheerio,

Fixed - syslogd was defunct. Killed the process & restarted.

So far everything looks 100% good. I will keep this thread up to date if I experience any issues that aren't due to me not checking the obvious

Now to find out why the syslog daemon stopped!
