Default IMAP - OUTLOOK - sending mail

I am trying to get pop3 to work with outlook. When i send the test message i get an error "send test email message: unable to send test message. Please verify the E-mail Address field.

When i try to connect via outlook and Evolution it keeps on asking me for my email address.

Could there be something wrong with my outgoing email server?

Well to send you use STMP not POP3 or IMAP. Make sure you use the entire email address (ie user@domain) and set up SMTP auth. By default postfix doesn't allow you to send unless you do SMTP auth.

Default Same problem w/ Thunderbird

I did the things you suggested, where is SMTP auth set? It keeps asking for a password and when I finally hit cancel I get a SMTP error. This used to work on BETA1 ... what has changed?

SMTP Auth is set in the MTA tab in Zimbra's web UI. In Thunderbird it would be in the SMTP settings.
