Default Open Source upgradeability.

I was windering , If I install the open source version can I simply install the Network edition over it? sill it migrate settings and what-not?

Reason being.. I though that the open source version might be a great way to get my toes wet... Later I may want to increase/add functionality and add support....(provided that all goes well).

thanks,
