    Default status

Ok - according to the script output, both status commands returned 0, so they should be up. Is zmcontrol still showing them down?

(The loghost cannot be null errors can be ignored - not everyone formats their logging the correct way *cough*log4j*cough)

So, I think the problem is definitely in SASL - I'll check out it's logging capabilities, but it should log to /var/log/zimbra.log (or /var/log/maillog, too)

    Default Log_auth

according to the saslauthd man page, it logs via LOG_AUTH, which (on my box) goes to /var/log/secure.

(check your /etc/syslog.conf if you don't see anything in that file)

Try running it in debug mode:

    su - zimbra
    zmsaslauthdctl stop

    /opt/zimbra/cyrus-sasl-2.1.21.ZIMBRA/sbin/saslauthd -r -a zimbra -d

I hope that's you coming from that IP, because someone's trying to get into your server.

With sasl in debug mode, try the tls auth, and see what it spits out.
