Default SSL Cert = new hostname issues

I am trying to create a new cert to matchup with the new hostname (from "mail10.domain.com" to just "mail.domain.com").

I am following the process here:
http://wiki.zimbra.com/index.php?tit...icate_Problems

When I run the zmcreateca or zmcreatecert commands as user zimbra, I end up with a "unable to write 'random state' " message. When I perform this as root, everything is fine. Please let me know what I am missing here?

Thanks!
