Default Redhat Enterprise Linux 5

So... RH EL 5 is out. Is Zimbra still compatible with this version or still only version 4? The only thing holding me back from getting my Zimbra server up and running is the server OS. I'm about to purchase it but now that version 5 is out I don't really wanna buy version 4.

Greetings...

RHEL 5 is still very new as far as an OS goes. There are some folks who have installed it and such (check the forums), but it is not a supported configuration from Zimbra if you are going to be running the Network Edition.

There is no need to wait, with RedHat you buy a subscription to their service, so you can use RHEL 4 or 5 and go back and forth at any time on the one machine.

Dive right and enjoy the Zimbra goodness.

We are looking at RHEL5 support in a near term release. Not too much work just testing.

All the information you need is here. I'm running ZImbra on CentOS5 without any problems.

I keep forgetting that searches expire. Just search for RHEL5 and you'll get what you need.
