Unhappy Installtion Freezes at zmsetup.pl

I am having a problem installing Zimba. The normal ./install.sh freezes after the Zimba-spell package. When I did the ./install.sh -s, the installation finishes successfully then it prompts me to enter /opt/zimbra/libexec/zmsetup.pl.

Once I do that the system freezes and I have to ctl+c to break it.

Any Ideas what might be causing this?

What os are you installing on? Also, do you have any other webservers running?

I am using CentOS 4.4. I am not running anything. I just installed it using the perfect setup on howtoforge and installed ZCS for RHEL4 4.5.4

Did you disable the firewal, SElinux and the mail server (apache?) that gets installed by default?

Actually what fixed it for me was removing the UTF-8 from the /etc/sysconfig/i18n file. Install is complete but now I can not get tomcat to stay on. I have done chown zimbra:zimbra /opt/zimbra/redolog/redo.log and confirmed that it worked fine. tomcat starts for 2 seconds then goes back down

I should also mention that redo.log file was not even in the redolog folder. I had to create it manually and set the correct permission on it. It still shows filesize of 0 I am not sure if it should have something in it yet since tomcat does not seem to start correctly.

My server is up thanks to all the help. My problem was that I had another instance of IMAP running. Didn't allow tomcat to start.

I am now

Thanks
