Default Installation

I am facing an issue while installing Zimbra 4.0 on Linux ES 4.0. The error is about a compat file.

It says

compat-libstdc++-33...MISSING
Anybody knows it why

It was giving similar message for

compat-libstdc++-296...MISSING and we downloaded
" compat-libstdc++-296-2.96-132.fc4.i386.rpm" and it accepted.

We are stuck here, we tried to downloading
" compat-gcc-32-3.2.3-47.fc4.src.rpm"
"compat-libstdc++-33-3.2.3-47.fc4.i386.rpm"
but it does not accept

You should not try to install FC4 RPM on a Linux RHEL4...

Simply use yum to download the missing RPM.

It's up2date, not yum, sorry.

up2date compat-libstdc++-296
up2date compat-libstdc++-33

Your server will download it automagically from RHN.

If the server is not connected to the internet, it might not be registered into the RHN. So no updates and co...

I don't know where you can get RHEL RPM outside the RHN.

It'll work if you register it into the RHN.

I'll say it to you once more (see previous threads) : read the docs.

RHEL is a licence based OS ; read its doc and website.
