Default Problems installing on CentOs 4.4

Hi all,

I am very new with Zimbra and i am going to give it a try to kick M$ out of the office. But i have some issues while installing Zimbra and i can't find the solution for it. I am pretty sure that i am not the first one having this problem.

I'm trying to install the Trial Network Edition of Zimbra on CentOS 4.4. I downloaded the RHEL4 version of Zimbra. is this the right way?

Here it is:

My HOSTS file:

Code:
[root@mail zcs]# cat /etc/hosts
# Do not remove the following line, or various programs
# that require network functionality will fail.
127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost
192.168.25.50 mail.linuxpower.nl mail
I am not sure if i need to put my WAN IP in front of the FQDN or my LAN IP. But it seems that, that part of the installation goes ok.

The installation ends with this:

Code:
[root@mail zcs]# /opt/zimbra/libexec/zmsetup.pl
Operations logged to /tmp/zmsetup.log.13611
Setting defaults... MX: mail.linuxpower.nl (192.168.50.25)

        Interface: 192.168.50.25
        Interface: 127.0.0.1
                192.168.50.25

Have you checked to see if LDAP is already running?
That's what it looks like.

ps auxx | grep slapd

Thx for the quick reply.

No, LDAP isn't running. I thought the installation would install the LDAP server and should start it?

Here is the output:
Code:
[root@mail libexec]# ps auxx |grep slapd
root 14238 0.0 0.1 3984 640 pts/0 S+ 14:38 0:00 grep slapd
Here is the list with ports:
Code:
[root@mail libexec]# netstat -an |grep LISTEN
tcp 0 0 0.0.0.0:111 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN
tcp 0 0 127.0.0.1:631 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN
tcp 0 0 0.0.0.0:700 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN
tcp        0      0 :::22                       :::*                        LISTEN

I had 192.168.25.50 instead of 192.168.50.25......

It is working (for) now! thx for your quick reply!
