Default RHEL 4 or OpenSUSE10?

So here’s the question…

RHEL or OpenSUSE?

Are there any large benefits to going RHEL over the open source SUSE?

Thank for any opinions.

David

Network Edition or OSS? If it's NE then it's RHEL as support for openSuSE 10 will end shortly. If it's the OSS version then I'd go with CentOS (a build of RHEL).

RHEL (CentOS) is a tried and tested stable server platform, openSuSE isn't. You get support with RHEL and none with openSuSE.

Hi Bill,

Thanks for the information. This server will be running the Network Edition.

Since CentOS is a build of RHEL, are there any plans for supporting Network Edition on CentOS?

Thanks,

David

As it's NE then you'll need RHEL4 and there's no current plans to support CentOS.
