Red Hat Linux 9.0 is probably a few years (perhaps a decade) away from relase.

The most recently released version was v5.0.

I am not referring to Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9.0
I have installed red hat linux 9.0 on our machine but the installable is for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4.0. So in this regards would the installation be proper?

redhat 9 was a particularly horrible release, i remember the pain from it well (although it's a distant memory, its many years old).

the answer is, almost certainly, spectacularly, no!
