Default Downgrade VM Image Trial to Open Source Edition

Anyone got tips how to downgrade the VM Image of Network Edition trial to Open Source Edition?

Or even better a link to the OpenSource VM image which I was expecting!

There isn't an OSS version of the VMware image (nor is there a build of Zimbra OSS for that o/s) so you won't be able to downgrade the VMware image.

Darn - that scuppered that plan then, didn't it?

The website is rather misleading when downloading the VM Image in that case, claiming that "you can always downgrade to the OSS edition at the end of your trial".

I'm loving Zimbra & there is a high chance I will be migrating at least 2 corporate clients to it - but with voluntary organisations in my portfolio crying out for something like this, I'm thinking it would be a brilliant idea if an OSS VM image was available - even if just as a torrent.

Plus think of all those home users who might like the same & pay for a licence in the near future....

An apology. I should have said there isn't an OSS version for rPath yet. There is a bugzilla entry that you could track if you add your name to the list. Although the entry states it's targeted for 4.5.x I think that is a slighty movable date.

Well, the OSS community might be able to put together a build, no? I will download the VM image later today and snoop around a little bit to see if I can make any suggestions.

Issues to overcome in theory:
IP config on the image.
Running the installer without doing config (maybe?)
someone else has yer root pw (until you change it)

Did I miss anything?
