Default Zimbra appliance on VMWare fusion for Mac

Brand new to VMWare Fusion for Mac, rPath, and Zimbra.

Downloaded and extracted the Zimbra appliance then copied the expanded directory to the VMWare Virtual Machines directory. Now I can open the vmx file from VMWare.

So far so good, maybe. I get a few failures during boot, regarding ethernet.

At the risk of sounding like a complete idiot, now what? My goal is to experiment with Zimbra to see if it's a viable solution for our email system.

Also, the line: please use a web browser from another system to navigate to:, is blank.

Sounds like the VM didn't pick up an IP address from DHCP...is DHCP enabled on your network? How is the networking setup for that VM?

OK, that makes sense. I was expecting VMWare to issue the addressing to the virtual machine. I don't have DHCP here at home. I'll wait until I get to the office to try again.
