Question Changing the Default Domain

When I initially configured my ZCS trial, I selected the defaults Zimbra’s configuration. It seems that the domain was selected from the server’s hostname. My server is mail.domain.com, and that is the domain selected as well.

I would like to change the domain to domain.com (instead of mail.domain.com).

How do I go about this? Are there any consequences to changing the domain? The server is not live yet, there are only a couple of test accounts.

Thanks for the help!

I think you can just create a new domain with the company.com name and then go to the global settings and under general, make it the default domain. That's what I did anyways, seems to be working, on v4.5.3.

Hi Yang,

That did the trick. I also deleted the first domain created.

I think that I'll need to reconfigure the spam learning email addresses though.

Thanks for the advice,

David
