Default Currency Symbol

Hi Guys,
another post!

For some reason, when some of the Users sent a Mail through Outlook or Act Email through the Zimbra server to an external source certain sysmbols were getting corrupted,

i.e. £ and

I guess this is something to do with the language setting on our Server and may be nothing to do with Zimbra but has anyone else experienced this?

Version 4.5.2_GA_699.RHEL4 16-Feb-2007, CentOS 4.4

I have just tried it myself through Zimbra and composed as HTML and received at my outside webmail account;

" £ $ % ^ & * ' @ # ~

So, of all the symbols I tried, only the £ was affected.

Composing in plain text did not result in the corruption.

Couldn't find any obvious answer on the Forums so any help appreciated.

Funny thing is,

if I collect my pop mail from the Webmail service mentioned above then, although in the Webmail service I see the above actions, when the mail arrives at Zimbra the starnge symbols are gone!

What's going on? Is this just Postfix acting weird?

Here is a sample line sent out by another Sales person here through Outlook using HTML composing;

'Between 21 – 30 Items £313.50+VAT'

See what I mean about the weird symbols?

Default 4.5.2?

Are you running 4.5.2? If so, have you applied the patch from this posting?

Thanks Mate,

I take it this is the problem fixed by the 4.5.3 release?
