mailbox quits shortly after startup
after installing and starting up zimbra i wait a couple seconds and run 'zmcontrol status' and mailbox says stopped. has anyone else ran into this? i have checked to make sure there arent any other processes with conflicting ports. any ideas?
additionally, the port 7071 is not being used by anything (netstat) thus nothing comes up in the browser when trying to setup users and etc. is the documentation wrong? if so whats the real port?
system info:
RHEL4
zcs-3.0.0_M2_740.RHEL4.tgz

Check /opt/zimbra/log/zimbra.log or /opt/zimbra/tomcat/logs/catalina.out

here are the two errors that caught my attention:
2005-11-15 19:26:33,987 FATAL [main] [] system - Config initialization failed
com.zimbra.cs.service.ServiceException: system failure: getting database connection
MESSAGE: Access denied for user 'zimbra'@'sand01' (using password: YES)
is it a user issue within mysql? any ideas?

What does your /etc/hosts look like. Might not have the right grants for your MySQL user for your host.

changed the /etc/hosts to the one in the install. it worked. thanx.

mailbox is still down according to the webapp. any ideas?

i dont see anything related to mailbox in either. imho the logs look ok.
this is the only thing i noticed:
2005-11-15 20:14:33,336 INFO [http-7071-Processor50] [ip=10.18.161.16;] mailbox - Creating database mailbox1
that would seem like a good thing to me.

i added a user acct and it seems to be working now. not sure what the deal is.
