    Default Documents Questions

Is there a manual which describes how to use Documents other than what's available via the Help feature?

It appears you cannot paste info into a documents window. If this is incorrect, please tell me how to do it.

No, there's no manual as such - the feature is still in beta.

What is it, exactly, that you're trying to do? You can cut & paste information into a document, just create a document and paste.

Reporting problems around here has to be done very carefully. ;-)

When I copy something to my PC's clipboard I cannot paste it in a Documents window.

    I'm using Firefox 2

Hmmm. I am also using Firefox 2 and am able to copy stuff in a text window and then paste into an open wiki document.

What platform are you using that you are running Firefox 2? Is it windows, or some version of linux, or freebsd, or.... ?

How do you normally copy and paste? Do you use the keyboard (ctl-c & ctl-v), or just the mouse (ie: on CentOS 4.4 using kde, if I just highlight something with the mouse, it goes into the buffer, and if I then click the cursor on a document that is open for editing and then press the middle button, it pastes it). I can use the control keys too.

In actuality, you just wanted to get even more insulting without making your behavior-unbecoming-a-moderator public.

When you say 'document window', I assume you've created a new document and then tried pasting into that?

Windows or Linux? I'm also using FF2 on Windows & Linux and there's no difficulty in pasting anything into a document. Are there any add-ons or pop-up blockers installed? If there are disable/uninstall them and see if the problem persists. If you have a mouse gestures add-on then try that one first.

If I understand your observation correctly, I would certainly agree with you -- with this guy as an example of a moderator of this site.

No, not really. And as I said, it's just not worthy of a response and try as you might to provoke me that will be my last word on the subject.
