Default Upgrade from 3.1.3_GA_474 on FC4 to 4.5.1_GA_660

Hello all.

We have been running (very successfully, I might add) 3.1.3. I'm having trouble finding upgrade documents on the site.

Can somebody describe (details!) for me the upgrade steps from 3.1.3 to 4.5.1?
Can I make the upgrade in one-step or do I need to incrementally upgrade?

THANKS!

jh

You can upgrade from 3.1.x directly to 4.5.1

It would be a good idea to run the upgrade prep steps before your upgrade.

Also, it's always good to have a backup.

There are two types of people in the world.
1) Those who backup &
2) Those who will backup.

Take a look here:
<4.5.2 Upgrade Notice

And also backup you zimbra. This can be accomplished by rsync -av /opt/zimbra [location]

I don't reccomend tarring it up, because this can cause perms problems.

Make sure zimbra is stopped before rsyncing.
