Default zimbra 4.5.1 5 gb free

Hello guys,

i just downloaded zimbra 4.5.1 and noticed that it now checks for storage space before an upgrade. Our testing server has 2 gb free so i was unable to upgrade. I modified the installer in order to test it out.

Is there a reason behind this feature?

Cheers,
Fernando

YES!
If I were you, I'd try to figure out a way to get more space, instead of editing the installer.

This feature came from a problem that can happen if you don't have enough space.

Seriously. . find more room.

just for the record.

The upgrade finished perfectly on centos 4.4 and 2 gb free space.

After reading the bugzilla i don't recommend modifying the installer either.

Default Allow for different location of tmp?

Maybe you guys could allow for a different location of /tmp. We don't build our servers with huge /tmp partitions (except for our zimbra server) and most programs write to /var/tmp for truly variable data.

I know that CryptoCard does this with an environment variable, FWIW. Thanks

Bill
