Default Successful Mac OS X upgrade of 4.05 -> 4.5?

Hi,

Can anyone who's upgraded their Mac OS X 4.0x system to 4.5 successfully please chime in? We're running 4.0.5 and there appear to be a reasonable number of posts about upgrade issues. I'd just like make sure that there are people out there who have been successful in doing the upgrade before we try it here.

thanks,
Mark

Well, there arn't any *known* issues other than the ones in the bugzilla.
I know of a cert error.

To be honest, more often than not, any install problems are caused by a previously unknown issue that resides on the server as opposed to the installer or ZCS itself.

A perfect example is a bug we discovered with not having free space on the / or /tmp dirs. It caused the script to fail, but the admin should have checked the avail space before running the install.

There are currently 32 known issues related to OSX. You can view them here:

The only *critial* bug is 7039

Hi,

Just thought I should follow up on this post. I did our upgrade today from 4.0.5_GA_518 to 4.5.1_GA_660, and I don't want to jinx it, but it appears to have gone smoothly! In fact so smoothly, I'm a little suspicious

Thanks for the great work on the install/upgrade scripts!

cheers!
Mark
