Zimbra as secondary server for all users

[UTSCSE]

If I want to set up Zimbra and use it as a collaboration system only (use our existing enterprise mail server), should I just follow the instructions for setting up relaying/domain forwarding?

Has anybody done this successfully and if so, so clear instructions/hints would be most appreciated.
