Default Installation on Ubuntu 6.10 within VMware Server

Hi

I've installed zcs-4.5.0_GA_612.UBUNTU6.tgz on ubuntu server 6.10 without any problems.

However, I don't manage to install zimbra on ubuntu server 6.10 within VMware Server. I get the following error while running ./install.sh:

Initializing ldap...TLS: error:02001002:system library:fopen:No such file or directory bss_file.c:352

The log (/tmp/zmsetup.log.28250) is identical to the one with the working setup (meaning no vmware) until the SSL certificate is generated, then it shows:

Creating SSL certificate...
*** Running as zimbra user: cd /opt/zimbra; zmcreatecert

/opt/zimbra/bin/zmcreatecert: 27: source: not found
Done

Initializing ldap...
*** Running as zimbra user: /opt/zimbra/libexec/zmldapinit

FAILED (1)

ERROR

Configuration failed

Please address the error and re-run /opt/zimbra/libexec/zmsetup.pl to

complete the configuration.

Errors have been logged to /tmp/zmsetup.log.28250

Any help appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Kind regards

Tom

Default again the /bin/sh symlink

I've just found the solution to my problem:

The only differences between the two systems (of which one worked and one did not) were:
- one was running inside vmware server and the other not (I've mentioned that)
- I had already changed the /bin/sh symlink on the working system from
/bin/dash to /bin/bash
but not on the inside of the vmware server (where zimbra installation failed)

Sorry. Thanks for this great product!

Default

Thank you soooo much! That was exactly my problem.

One further note: I had to completely re-install Zimbra after updating the symlink.
