What the hell is this? Open source edition runs on my fedora core 5 system, but I can't upgrade to network edition with this same OS. Anyone else encountered this?

Read the doc and pre-requisites.
Yeah I get that, but it doesn't make sense that open source edition runs on fedora, yet the upgraded version doesn't. I was actually hoping someone would say "it doesn't say it's supported but it actually does work on fedora", not brag about their ability to read.
The Zimbra community is much larger than the Zimbra support team, so the number of platforms that the Zimbra support team can officially support is going to be smaller.
As an aside, you've come in here with guns blazing. We're honestly doing the best we can (and I think we're generally doing a good job) -- please consider cooling your jets a bit and trying to work with us. If instead that's a preview of what you'd be like as a paid customer, we'd rather you give your money to one of our competitors.
Don't be silly, nobody was bragging about their ability to read.
It makes perfect sense for Zimbra to support the operating systems that they do, they won't have to get into supporting the o/s as well as the product. With the operating systems I mentioned there's professional support available from the vendor.

Bill
Guns blazing? I didn't come in here with my "guns blazing". I just got irrelevant responses basically saying "if you knew how to read you'd know this". That doesn't help at all. I was more curious as to why 1 version works with fedora, and the other doesn't (or at least says it doesn't". As I said before I was hoping someone might say "oh I got net edition to work with fedora and here's how". That's all. I'm downloading a free 30 day trial of RH EL4 now to test net edition, if it works, I'm buying it and implementing em' on my network.
Anywho, my question was answered.
