Default URL to user login

Hello,

This seems like a stupid question, but I can't figure out the URL for users to login to zimbra (can't see it mentioned in any of the docs). I've tried https://example.com/zimbra/ and https://example.com/zimbra/mail (have configured Zimbra for https only). The first url gives me :

type Exception report

message

description The server encountered an internal error () that prevented it from fulfilling this request.

exception

org.apache.jasper.JasperException: Unable to compile class for JSP

An error occurred at line: 70 in the jsp file: /public/Login.jsp
Generated servlet error:
Syntax error on token "Invalid Character", delete this token

I can login to the admin area fine, then browser to a user's mailbox, and view it (which opens up https://example.com/zimbra/mail)

Thanks

You really should just enter https://yourserver/ - that's all you need. What happens when you do that?

Any firewall on this system or Selinux (sorry, I'm not a ubuntu user so I don't know if it has that) that could be blocking that port?

No SELInux, but a firewall yes. I've opened up tcp ports 443, 80, 7071 (and the ports required for mail-related services). The strange thing is that if I log in as Zimbra admin, select the user, and click 'view mail', it opens up https://example.com/zimbra/mail in a new window and logs me in automatically as the user

Two quick things to check. Disable the firewall and see if it works, if it does check the wiki (or a forums search) for a list of ports to be opened.

Thanks for the suggestion. I've disabled the firewall, but still no luck. I wonder if I should move this thread to a different section of the forums? At first I thought it was just a matter of entering the correct URL, now it seems more like a Java issue.

Might want to view line 70 and see if there is an invalid character, also check up on the JVM and ensure enough heap size for tomcat.. You can get odd errors.

Just to follow-up on the post above, you can get problems if your server doesn't have enough memory. What's the memory on this machine?
