Login with admin after installation?

I have successfully setup zimbra without any errors or problems, but when I go to the page to login it declines the admin account setup during install. Any help on this!

What do you mean 'it declines the admin account'? Does it reject the password? Are you entering the correct password? Are you using https to get to the admin page?

I just get authentication failed. I am using the admin page https://www.domain.com:7071

I try logging in with the admin@domain.com as the user and just admin and doesnt work. I have installed twice and double check my password. Still get the same thing.

You use the url https://yourservername:7071 to login to the admin console, is that what you're doing?

Yes That is what I am doing

OK, two things you can do. First you can change the admin password by following these instructions and second you can create a new admin by following these instructions. One of thos should sort you out.

Ok thanks, I give that a go once. Sweet that worked. Some reason it wasnt setting my password during install. You the man.

Thanks Phoenix. I had been having troubles with this same problem. I logged in as the zimbra user su zimbra then I ran the instructions from the wiki again: zmprov sp admin email address new password and I was able to login with my user name admin@mydomain.com and the new password at https://mydomain.com:7071/zimbraAdmin/

My install is on a Mac OS X dual 1.8 and the Zimbra dmg was
zcs-4.5.0_RC2_566.MACOSX.dmg
