Default Webclient issues - attachments and dates

I just installed Zimbra on SuSE 10.2. After fixing some minor problems It seems to be working well wtih IMAP client. Then problems I'm seeing are with the webclient. I can't send attachemnts and the date of email's is the date I copied them from another IMAP server to Zimbra (with thunderbird). Again all seems to be working with thunderbird IMAP client

What have I missed ?

TIA

Gary Ernst

Default Turn on the Thunderbird hack while importing

You're seeing a Thunderbird bug -- it doesn't set INTERNALDATE correctly when doing an APPEND of a message from another store.

To work around this bug, add "/tb" to the end of your username before logging into Zimbra via Thunderbird (e.g. "bob@example.com/tb" or "bob/tb" if you have a default domain set). Messages copied over in this session will set INTERNALDATE from the Date: header of the message, which will do what you want!

(There's no easy way to fix the messages you've already dragged over via Thunderbird, unfortunately.)

Thanks for the help on the date issue. Any idea on sending attachments form the webclient ?
No matter how small the attachment, I get an error message indicating it's too large.

TIA

Default Check your server config

Go to the admin client and see what the max upload file size is set to...

Ah I am blind. .... The value was set to 0. I changed it to as many 9's as the field would hold. All is well. This resolves my last issue.

Thanks for the help

Hi,

I've used the above to get over the date change issue but I've found that although it is copying the correct date it is changing it to display in US "mm/dd/yyyy" format not the usual "MMM dd" format. how can i fix this? All my new email arrive in the correct format.

I'm using the latest release of the web UI.

I'm not sure what you mean. Is there any chance you could attach a screenshot?
