Question Zimbra over SSL Explorer.

Hello,

I having issues loging in over SSL Explorer Web Forwards, I get the following error:

An unknown application error has occurred. Please correct any errors and retry. If the problem persists, please contact your System Administrator. (INVALID_PDU)

When I logon from inside the network, or if I poke a hole in my firewall, I can hit it just fine.

Any ideas???

You need a hole in your firewall to get to the Zimbra server if you're accessing it from outside your lan. I don't see what the problem is.

Perhaps I don't understand what you mean by 'SSL Explorer Web Forwards'.

SSL explorer is a SSL VPN appliance. You authenticate to the SSL Explorer and it gives you access to the networks resoruces. You can create bookmarks to open pages on internal servers. The bookmarks are web forwards. The web forwards can be created using three diffrent methods; Reverse Proxy, Replacement Proxy or a Tunneled Forward. None of these seems to work with Zimbra, they all give the error I stated above. I am sure it has something to do with how the proxy does the calls to the server.

I might be able to put up a demo box for you to look at if you would like.

here a link to the SSL explorer web page

http://sourceforge.net/projects/sslexplorer/

We also have tried over the Sonicwall SSL-VPN 200, same issues.

Thanks, James.

Default same issues here

Trying with a Sonicwall ssl vpn. It seems that the proxy is not doing the job properly. The Sonicwall's seems to have some optimizations for Outlook Web Access and Domino, but it doesn't work with Zimbra
