Installation problem: port conflicts (port 22)

Hi friends,
yesterday, I´ve installed zimbra on my debian-os without any additional packages, but only the needed one. The installation-script works fine till the completion, where the "port-conflict-check" was done. Then there was the message, that there is a port conflict on port 22.
But I haven´t installed sendmail / postfix from debian, but only the packages coming from zimbra.
The actual result is, that MTA isn´t working.

Can you give me any hints, what´s wrong or what I have to check / to change?

Port 22 is for ssh, the MTA would typically use 25. Are you sure about the number?

Make sure you shutdown Zimbra and look at the output of

netstat -tapn

If there is something listening on port 25 you'll see it.

From this output you'll see exim is running. Which is the Debian default MTA which gets installed always. You have to remove it with either dselect or

apt-get remove exim4

. Then try to restart Zimbra (if the install went ok).
