Default Installation problem: port conflicts (port 25)

Hi friends,
yesterday, Iīve installed zimbra on my debian-os without any additional packages, but only the needed one. The installation-script works fine till the completion, where the "port-conflict-check" was done. Then there was the message, that there is a port conflict on port 22.
But I havenīt installed sendmail / postfix from debian, but only the packages coming from zimbra.
The actual result is, that MTA isnīt working.

Can you give me any hints, whatīs wrong or what I have to check / to change?

thanx mardoc

Default Port 22 is ssh

Port 22 is for ssh, the MTA would typically use 25. Are you sure about the number?

Make sure you shutdown Zimbra and look at the output of
Code:
netstat -tapn
If there is something listening on port 25 you'll see it.

Default exim is the default Debian MTA

From this output you'll see exim is running. Which is the Debian default MTA which gets installed always. You have to remove it with either dselect or
Code:
apt-get remove exim4
. Then try to restart Zimbra (if the install went ok).
