Exclamation can I install ZCS on a running server ?

Dear list,

I have A running opensuse 11.2 server with apache, mysql, postfix etc.... Actually it is a web server, a mail server and proxy server.... Can I install zimbra here... not touching anything already installed and running zimbra services ( apache, mysql etc...) on different port ?

Thanks

Using openSUSE for Zimbra is not a supported platform. I'd suggest you find a more suitable platform that is supported.

See my comment above and Zimbra is supposed to be installed as the only 'application' on a server.

Did you read the Product Documentation or search the forums for an answer to that question?

If you wish to install Zimbra on similar openSUSE Platform, you may go with SLES (SUSE Linux Enterprise Server). SLES is supported platform for Zimbra and have similar command, task & configuration just like openSUSE.

Zimbra using internal MTA, database, LDAP and web server, so, it's highly recommended to install Zimbra without existing mysql, postfix, openldap and apache to prevent any port conflict.

Thanks, I have already got a new ubuntu box :-)
BTw: if I change the port of zimbra services, it should not have any issues
with the already existing services, no ?
