Exclamation Redirect port 80 to 8080 two server proxy setup

Hi

I'm not able to to redirect port 80 to 8080. I have a one server running mailbox and a second that runs a proxy server.

When i type in mydomain.com nothing is happening, but when I use mydomain.com:8080 every thing works fine.
I have been googeling this for several hours now, but I newer get a different result. Please help

I'm using ZNE 7.1.2_GA_3268 on Ubuntu 10.04 64bit

You shouldn't be using port 80 for access to your Zimbra server it's a security risk (especially from outside), use https on port 443.

I know, I just want to figure out to redirect when using proxy. My main goal is to redirect 80 to 8443, but nothing is happening on that port. 443 only works on Zimbra Admin.

What would be the point of redirecting port 80 to 8443? Port 80 is the http port not https, your users need https. You need to set Zimbra to use port 443, go to the wiki and search for "zmtlsctl" for details on what you need to do.

On our old system we did not use a proxy. Our customers typed in mydomain.com and where redirected to mydomain.com:443.

I would like them be able to do the same now, but be redirected to mydomain.com:8443 (secure proxy).

I have used zmtlsctl before to set mode, but it does not work for me now. Is it because we moved to multiserver?

You should take a look at the Enabling Proxy wiki page. It'll help you understand the items needed to setup the proxy properly
