    Default ZimbraWebClient only installation

I was wondering if it was possible to have the ZimbraWebClient work with a generic IMAP server.

Building the application itself and deploying the built .war went well but I'm at a loss what I should do next to make this work. More imporantly, is this even possible? If not, are there plans to make enable this?

Not today. You could use imapsync to sync the data via IMAP into Zimbra. We've talked about adding an IMAP proxy so that you can mount remote accounts but it's not a feature today.
