Bind installation location
I have downloaded bind from the following location.
Download BIND 9.7.4 bind-9.7.4.tar.gz | Internet Systems Consortium
i ran the following scripts.
./configure
make
make install
but there is no /etc/named directory in my system. I am using RHEL 5.3 Server edition. I don't have the RHN key. so i can't use yum.
kindly guide me.
Configuration of zimbra without using bind
i don't have bind installed on RHEL 5. moreover i tried to install it but i can't understand the problem. it is installed fully but there are no associated directories or files created of bind. no named service. i spent a lot of time but could not solve that. kindly help me out. is there any alternative to get out of this problem? i have installed webmin1.560 on the same machine. but there is no bind server listed in the servers portion. can i do the same job using webmin without bind? is there any other alternative? please help me out.
