Question Documents feature - not seeing uploaded files

Hi, been a while since I posted, we stayed at 3.1.4 whilst the betas and new releases carried on!

Now on OSS 4.03 FC4 and all seems to work fine and is a great improvement. I say all works fine but the caveat is the exception that after attaching files I can't see them anywhere in the wiki page they were uploaded to.

Cant see any docs for the feature either so I am not sure where things are meant to be incase my shrinking brain is not seeing the bleedin obvious ;-)

Anyone using this file library idea?

K

I don't see any provisions for this feature either in the admin or user screen. It is something I'd like to have to round out the group collaboration. Is it there and I just dont see it, or ?

Is this what happens? If yes, I noticed this bug sometime back in Bugzilla. Can't recall the number, though.

Default not quite....

If I create the page and click the paper clip to add a file to the page then all appears to upload, whirring away for a suitable amount of time for a small to med file. Then nothing. No link, no reference, nothing. Seems to complete fine, no error or hint of a problem, just nothing there.

Perhaps this is me expecting something to be that easy when infact I need something else to happen or I need to do something I havent seen yet. Is there any documentation stashed away somewhere on this? I saw the wiki page about documents on 4.0 but nothing about this file feature and certainly not for current GA 4.03 (I know docs is still beta!)

Can someone let us know what it's meant to be when it does work? If indeed its a bug I am happy to log one but its difficult to know if something isnt working if you arent sure what its actually meant to do ;-)

BTW Seems the same in Network version too btw.

When working it will be a very neat tool in the box for Zimbra.

Which version/release of Zimbra? Is it enabled in the admin UI/COS?

Default A few snapshots

Here are a few snapshots that I took while in the process of uploading files.

new_page.png
This image shows the blank new page

new_page_some_content.png
This image shows the same page after adding some text

new_page_uploading_file.png
This page shows the upload box

new_page_after_uploading_file.png
This page shows exactly what happens after the file is uploaded. The link shown on this page is the one which needs to be accessed to retrieve the uploaded document/file.

I believe, you aren't able to see the link, yes?

If you can't see the link, yes it is a bug.

ahhhhh, it now does work but it seems only when there is already some other page content, even if its just a space.

I'll now keep playing around and see if the problem really stays away or manifests in some other way. Many thanks for the screen shots, pictures vs words ;-)
