Default can't alter config using zmsetup.pl after upgrade to 4.0.3

i'm running on osx server 10.4.8 with 4.0.3 GA

when i run zmsetup.pl as root, it reads existing config and does not allow me to actually alter my config. i'm trying to change my ldap port so i can run osx ldap server concurrent to zimbra's ldap.

i have zmsetup.log.12345 and .saveconfig directory around after prior upgrade. should i remove any of these in order to allow a reconfig?

i think i can run zmprov or other cmd line utility to alter ldap or other individual service option, which i may do, but i would like to be able to re-run and the config as expected.

tia,

george

wannabetenor,

thanks for the input on the cli options. as i said, i can change settings via cli, but i'm trying to resolve using the re-run of zmsetup.pl option. what governs whether zmsetup.pl runs in update, install, modify mode?

curious zimbra user want to know :-)
