Default [SOLVED] Use alternate SMTP for webmail while leaving Zimbra SMTP running

Hi all,

I would like the Zimbra webmail app to send outgoing mail to a different SMTP server and port, which would then proxy/forward the request back to the Zimbra SMTP on port 25 after doing some of its own processing, logging, etc.. I don't see a way to do this in the admin settings UI.

That's too bad. It would have really helped out our implementation. Thanks for the response.

This can be done in the Admin Portal, under:

Global Settings
MTA
Web mail MTA Hostnames

I put our ASSP ip address in instead of the hostname. ASSP sends the mail back to Zimbra's DMZ IP address after SPAM processing.
