Question Installation Cancelled - Zimbra-spell !

Hey people!

I am currently a Kolab user who has been looking for a better web based option, I trialled SugarCRM on my server for some time with mixed results, I dont mind it... but its eMail functionality sux!

Enter Zimbra... if I can get it to work!

My system specs are in my sig...

I have all the dependencies worked out no probs, however I fail on Zimbra-spell. Now I have searched the forum and I found one thread where another person asked this exact question and the answer was "This has already been answered, search the forum".

Ok... I did that... however I after many hours of sifting through all the installation questions with no luck I figured I would just ask again.

Or if anyone knows where the post is with the answer I would appreciate that as well!

Cheers,

Ledg

Hi, and welcome to the forums!

Could you please post your install log? It can be found in /tmp/install.log.xxxx

That will help us determine what went wrong.

Thanks
john

Ok, here is the log.

I should probably explain what I am doing as well...

I have a new machine that will, in the near future, be my new web server. However at the moment its just sitting in the rack as a nothing computer on my internal network. I have apache running (to make sure they work together with no probs) but I have very little setup in the system.

The intention is to have my new webserver running with Zimbra on it as well, hopefully in the next week or so! (My old webserver is getting a bit tired and my Kolab server s$#ts me).

i'd say that's not a good start, get this fixed first. read the dns stuff in the wiki and the 5.1 billion posts in the forums about hostnames and dns
