Unhappy [SOLVED] Trouble in nstalling ZCS a newly built 64 bit ubuntu 10.04 LTC

Just installed Ubuntu 10.04 with only mail/ssh/samba modules. While running the installation, it complained about port conflict, but went on finished installation after adding perl/sysstat/sqlite3 and some packages.

After running zmcontrol start, all services came up expcept the most important ones, mailbox and mta. From the system e-mail, it seemed that ldap was not resolving the connection point.

I don't know where else to look at the problem. Please help.

What did you do to resolve that problem?

You should look in the log files for errors when you start Zimbra and do some additional research on the forums for an answer.

The problem is that you installed mail on the server before you installed Zimbra. Zimbra uses it's own mta and there is your port conflict. Uninstall the mail app from Ubuntu and you can then reinstall/upgrade Zimbra and it should be fine.

Yeah, you are right on. Without the mail server, the installation went smoothly.

Thanks.
