Default setting environment variables in php

I need to set my environment variables (in linux) to point php to where my php.ini is located (/etc/..) as my phpinfo() is showing the path to be /opt/zimbra/php-5.0.5/lib/...(this dir does not even exist)

Please advise on how to go about this. Thanks

Which PHP are you using? You shouldn't use the Zimbra PHP or Apache for anything since it won't survive upgrades.

Kevin,

This not very clear to me somehow:

My phpinfo shows PHP Version 5.0.5. I believe this is the package that is installed with suse linux10.
But, running php -i on the konsole gave me this version : phpinfo()
PHP Version => 4.4.0

And I'm not using zimbra and apache for anything else apart from their basic
intended functionality.

Thanks
