Default Compiling HELIX-710 for Ubuntu10.04

I'm desperately in need of a 32-bit version of zcs for Ubuntu, because my cpu is an Intel atom which doesn't support 64-bit instructions.

I'm building much like what is described on this page.

I get errors that suggest that junit is not being used correctly (I think).

I'm attaching the compiler log compiler_log.txt.

junit and junit4 is installed using apt.

Please help!

Did you ever figure a way past this error?

It seems like junit4 is required, but also some of the functionality in the older junitperf package is also needed.

(I'm on Fedora 14, 32bit, but seeing the exact same build errors that you are)

Okay, I got past the original set of errors by setting these environment variables before running ./buildZCS.sh:

JAVA_HOME=/srv/build/p4/HELIX-701/ZimbraBuild/jdk1.6.0_24/
CLASSPATH=/usr/share/java/junitperf.jar:/usr/share/java/junit4.jar

Now it seems to build to completion, I'm going to cross my fingers and let the 3rd party stuff build as well.

Thanks! No, I never got past these errors, but I managed to install a package for ubuntu 8.04. This was a little unfortunate since it uses a lot of old libraries. Luckily my server has no other use.

I guess I will have to compile zimbra myself in the future, so once again thanks a lot!

Wouldn't it be easier to install CentOS 5.5 with Zimbra's Red Hat Enterprise Linux 32bit binaries?

I think so yes. Another option is to use Ubuntu 8.04.

Anyway, until I switch to one of those power-hungry 64-bit processors it's good to know how to build from scratch. I'm currently using an "MSI Industrial WindBOXII" which has a total TDP of less than 11W. I think that's pretty neat, especially since I only have my own mailbox to worry about.
