Default [SOLVED] cbpolicyd setup with 7.0 GA

Hey everyone. Long time reader, first post. We have been using zimbra 5.0.12 on ubuntu 8.04LTS x64 along with policyd for gray listing and spam control. Today I upgraded our server to 7.0 GA. I had the "Relay Access Denied" error and found the main.cf was missing after the upgrade. I copied that file from a backup and our mail is sending and receiving ok now. So I moved on to setting up policyd and I cannot seem to find any documentation or really any posts on how to set it up. The posts concerning cbpolicyd seem to go unanswered.

I installed the sqlite before I upgraded. There are no cbpolicyd log files created and no mention of it in the zimbra log. Also if I try and start it by hand it complains there is no cbpolicyd.conf file so it is not being created.

What am I missing here? Is cbpolicyd supposed to work out of the box or do I need to install a stand alone like I had?

Thanks for any pointers.

All that I can find on it so far is that it is included... Is there a web interface like with the stand alone clue bringer? Where are the log files? Where do I adjust the settings for it? netstat does not show anything listening on 10031.

Major New Features Enhancements and Bug Fixes for 7.0:
• ZCS now integrated with ClueBringer PolicyD (cbpolicyd). This is packaged
as part of the zimbra-mta package and configured to run as a daemon on
127.0.0.1:10031. It is integrated with Postfix as a check_policy_service.
The cbpolicyd data base uses sqlite. The default configuration enables
quotas module. See Postfix Policyd. (Bug 8791)

Read the bug report for details, specifically comment #19.

Thank you. I wasted 4 hours here searching the forums and web for a clue. There are hundreds of pages of out dated information on this. If anyone else installs 7.0 and you want to enable cbpolicyd read this:

Bug 8791 – make support for postfix-policyd easier

You basically just need to enable it with:

zmprov ms `zmhostname` +zimbraServiceEnabled cbpolicyd

There's no 'outdated information' in the forums on this feature, it's new in ZCS 7 and this is the initial integration step.

I am not sure what I said was what I meant to say... When they integrated policyd into zimbra all the information before 7.0 concerning setting up policyd / zimbra became outdated. Search google for setting up policyd / zimbra and you will see what I mean. You are correct that there is no outdated information concerning 7.0, in fact, there is no information.

You're right but I was just pointing out that the current implementation is just for the initial Zimbra integration of cbpolicyd - documentation etc. will follow as further changes are made for cbpolicyd.
