Default if this is a potential error

When I start up my FC4 server, at the screen before you enter your user name and password, where you can click to show all the detail to see if everything start up [OK] or [FAIL] ...

at the very bottom my FC4 call the zimbra
the line looks something like this
zimbra (su /bin/bash) ............................. [FAIL]

anyone has encounter this problem before?

You need to post some detail from the logs and which version of Zimbra you're using. What does 'zmcontrol status' show?

sorry where can i find zmcontrol status?

the error while i start up FC4 is (the screen before the login screen)
starting zimbra (su: /bin/bash) permission deny

i check in /opt/zimbra/log/startup.log
everything get start up properly
but if i open a browser and type in the mail.domain.com
it actually load up the login page
after i type in the admin email and password the click login
it doesn't seem processing the login it just keep staying on the login page

if i go to /opt/zimbra/libexec/ then type ./zimbra start (i need to be "su") then everything works i can log in and i can send email (as mentioned in other thread i can't receive email i think there is still something didn't setup properly)
is it because my tomcat or whatever didn't start up properly?

thx bill

after i start up FC4 and i type exactly what you told me then i got
"cannot determine services - exiting"

if i change to "su -" then go to /opt/zimbra/libexec and ./zimbra start
and do the zmcontrol status again ...
it shows
hosting xxx.xxx.xxx (my host)
and everything is running.

i think the problem is at the startup my FC4 doesn't launch zimbra properly..
you know how to solve it?
i have uninstall and reinstall zimbra many times the problem still exist ...

What's the output of:

chkconfig --list zimbra

What's the permission on the zimbra startup script? If zimbra isn't running after a reboot what happens if you run the following:

su - zimbra
zmcontrol start
zmcontrol status

odd. what happens if you do /etc/init.d/zimbra start (after you've stopped everything, obviously) as root?
