Default 32-Bit Version of Zimbra?

We have some older 32-Bit hardware that we were hoping to run Zimbra on but it seems the System Requirements for the new Zimbra appliance require 64-Bit hardware. Is there any way to run Zimbra on our old 32-Bit hardware?

You can run a current 32bit version of Zimbra but the 32bit versions have been deprecated in ZCS 7, there will only be 64bit versions available after that.

Excellent. Thanks for the quick response. When I look on the Zimbra Appliance webpage it says it requires 64-Bit hardware to work. Do you have a link possibly to the most recent 32-Bit version of the program?

Sorry, I thought you were asking about a normal Zimbra install not the appliance. I'm not sure there's a 32bit version of the appliance available any longer. Was it specifically the Appliance you wanted?

Yes that was the one we were interested in. We will be installing it into VMWare ESX 3.5. If there is no appliance version that can do this but another Zimbra product that would work installed on top of VMWare 3.5 then please let me know which one that is and I'll at least let the boss know that it's possible if we go away from the appliance product. Thanks again for the quick reply.

You can look at the Network Edition or FOSS download pages to see what the supported 32-bit releases are. However, as noted, 32-bit support is end of lifed, and if you decide to deploy zimbra, I highly advise you to invest in some modern hardware.

So if we decide to stick on with a stable ZCS release in 6.0.x for 32bit OS we don't have to be bothered about moving on right? In case of users who have been using ZCS on 32 bit OS.

You will be able to upgrade to 7.0, but you will not be able to upgrade to 8.0 or later until you move to a 64-bit OS.

Thank you for clearing that.
