Default Security on distribution lists

"Administrators can define which users are authorized to send messages to a distribution list. The default is all users can send to all distribution lists. The Milter Server needs to be enabled via the server MTA tab in the administration console to restrict access. (Bug 9620, 46311, 50348)"

Hello, where do i need to activate that feature? is very important to me i cant any option related to that in the MTA tab

Thanks

In the web admin console click the global settings in the left pane. Click the MTA tab. Put a check next to enable milter server. Just for good measure stop and start the zimbra services. Be aware that I have a bug open and a support case on the sendToDistList not taking grant right mods right away. Zimbra support has not gotten back to me yet. You will have to stop and restart the zimbra service each time you make a change to who can send to a list. Here is a link to my thread talking about it.

Access control to distribution lists in Zimbra 7.

And here is the link to the bug.

Thx for your answer, i saw your thread about it, i can see some of the commands to do what i want in there, but do you know how to Disable an entire domain from sending to a list? i dont want to do it one by one (i got 500 accounts) i prefer to activate de ones with permission after that because there is only 3.

The examples are in the admin guide starting on page 141.

So to allow a whole domain to send to a list it would be..

zmprov grr dl listname@domain dom example.com sendToDistList

to restrict a domain.

zmprov grr dl listname@domain dom example.com -sendToDistList
