Default [SOLVED] zmlogswatchctl is not running

I apologize if this is a repost but I've searched the forums and have not found an answer.

I recently(last night) updated Zimbra to 7.0 and moved the installation to a new server.

    ZCS NE 6.0.10 on Ubuntu 8.04 64 -> ZCS NE 7.0.0 on Ubuntu 8.04 64 -> ZCS NE 7.0.0 on Ubuntu 10.04 64 was my transition.

Mail is coming and going fine but the logger service doesn't seem to be working. Here's what I get when I start Zimbra

    Code:
    zimbra@mail:~$ zmcontrol start
    Host mail.myzimbra.net
    	Starting ldap...Done.
    	Starting zmconfigd...Done.
    	Starting logger...Done.
    	Starting convertd...Done.
    	Starting mailbox...Done.
    	Starting antispam...Done.
    	Starting antivirus...Done.
    	Starting snmp...Done.
    	Starting spell...Done.
    	Starting mta...Done.
    	Starting stats...Done.
    zimbra@mail:~$ exit
    logout
    root@mail:/opt/zimbra/log# /etc/init.d/zimbra status
    Host mail.myzimbra.net
    	antispam Running
    	antivirus Running
    	convertd Running
    	ldap Running
    	logger Stopped
    		zmlogswatchctl is not running
    	mailbox Running
    	mta Running
    	snmp Running
    	spell Running
    	stats Running
    	zmconfigd Running
    When I check /opt/zimbra/log/zmlogswatch.out I see

    Code:
Error opening /var/log/zimbra-stats.log: No such file or directory at /opt/zimbra/data/tmp/.swatch_script.13361 line 92
When moving to the new hardware I used this guide. Moving ZCS to Another Server » Zimbra :: Blog

    Thanks in advance!

    Run the following:

    Code:
    touch /var/log/zimbra-stats.log
    chown zimbra:zimbra /var/log/zimbra-stats.log
    Then restart Zimbra.

Thanks! That worked great for getting the logging service going! However it still doesn't seem to be logging properly and when I log into the admin interface it shows all of the services as down despite them being up.

I contacted Zimbra support to get some help on getting this going.

What they ended up having me do is install rsyslog and run /opt/zimbra/libexec/zmsyslogsetup. This fixed the issue for me.

Do not add your post to threads that are over two years old, your product is likely to be different than the one is this thread.

In future you should give a clear description of your problem/ What exactly is your problem? Which version and release of Zimbra have you installed? Is this a new install or an upgrade? Is your Zimbra server on a puclic IP or behind a NAT router? If you're behind a NAT router have you configured a Split DNS correctly (give diagnostic information, don't just say 'it's working')?

    Dear Bill,
We are having zimbra version of Release 6.0.0_GA_1802.RHEL5_64_20090830141723 CentOS5_64 FOSS edition[/B] installed in CentOS release 5.3 (Final) with the kernel version of 2.6.18-128.el5.
For the past two weeks we are facing the problem of all the services of zmcontrol in admin console is showing RED mark and also we are unable to view the Mail Queues in admin console. 96% of disk occupied in /opt partition. Our Zimbra mail server in Natted Public IP and also Split DNS also configured within the Mail server itself.

    Disk Utility:
    -------------
    /dev/sda5 ext3 37G 673M 35G 2% /
    /dev/sda7 ext3 9.7G 151M 9.1G 2% /tmp
    /dev/sda6 ext3 9.7G 3.7G 5.6G 40% /usr
    /dev/sda3 ext3 30G 4.3G 24G 16% /var
    /dev/sda2 ext3 175G 159G 7.3G 96% /opt
    /dev/sda1 ext3 190M 12M 169M 7% /boot
    tmpfs tmpfs 12G 0 12G 0% /dev/shm

    zimbra@mail ~]$ zmcontrol status

    antispam Running
    antivirus Running
    ldap Running
    logger Stopped
    zmlogswatchctl is not running
    mailbox Running
    mta Running
    snmp Running

Have you checked to see if the Zimbra certificates have expired?

    Hi,

I have checked the zimbra certificate validity, its valid upto coming OCT 2013. We are having split DNS within the mail server and also two NICs of LAN IP and Public NATted IP. Please suggest me that if any kind of more configurations to be checked.

    [root@mail ~]# ./zmcertmgr viewdeployedcrt all

    ::service mta::
