Mix FOSS & NE in the same domain?

Hi folks,

Does anybody know if it is possible to mix v6 FOSS mailbox server with a v6 NE?

Master LDAP is hosted on a NE , will mailboxes on FOSS mailbox server use a licence?

in my oragnisation, 70% of the mailboxes are unused but MUST exist, I was wondering if it would be possible to host these mailboxes freely on a FOSS, and the rest of mailboxes on a NE edition ( for Outlook connector and backup )

As I known, according Zimbra's policy, you can not run FOSS and NE together. This forum have talked about this question many times, you may have a search to find out more information.

Could this functionality be handled by distribution lists/aliases?
