Default mysql errors post install

I had zimbra network editon installed and working correctly until I decided to run apache, achievo, and coppermine image gallery on the same server. clearly there is an issue runnin two sql servers.

Currently I am getting the following error.
under root I can connect to mysql.

mail will not start. under zimbra if you connect to mysql you get this.

zimbra@eagle002:/$ mysql
ERROR 2002 (HY000): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/opt/zimbra/db/mysql.sock' (2)

No there isn't, the Zimbra MySQL does not use standard ports and does not interfere with another MySQL server.

You should not be running another web server (or anything else, for that matter) on your Zimbra server and you need to look in the log files for any errors when you start Zimbra.
