Default HELP - NEWBIE - Just learned to Spell LINUX

Evening everyone,

OK, you have a real LINUX newbie here, I mean just installed Red Hat for the first time ever. Commands, what are they? That's about as much as I know about Linux. Now I want to install Zimbra. Downloaded the 32bit Version 7 BETA. Mounted the CD, and Double Click on Install.SH (nothing). Am I missing something?

I am logged in as Root, and executing every from the GUI Interface, wouldn't know where to begin in the Console, so didn't even try. Can anyone help?

Thanks,

Hopelessly Lost in the Linux .

Update, I found a Manual, yeah I know "RTM", and found that you need to put a "./" (minus the quotes) in front of the command (Why not just adopt the double click to execute I don't know), so after modifying the Host file (again, why), now it says I'm missing packages. Ok, what the heck is a "Package"? If you missing it, where do you find it install it? HELP...HELP....HELP......... Please be gentle, need to get this stood up ASAP, like tomorrow.

If installation is this hard, I can only imagine what lies ahead with user creation, mail routing, etc.

Thanks

Packages Missing are:

NPTL

LIBICN

/USR/LIB/LILBSTDC++S0.6

Please need to understand what these are, where can I find the package, and how to install them?

Thanks

I'm afraid you have rather a steep learning curve in front of you, I'd suggest you hit google and look for some tutorials on Linux and RHEL/CentOS.
