Default Smartd startup failt

Dear all,

recently i have install zimbra version 4.0.1 with RHEL core 4. after, installation it is working but when restart server my server get stuck with zimbra service.

anyway, i have view the system log it display that "localhost smartd: smartd startup failed".
anyone help me!!!!

smartd is to do with your hard disk. this has nothing to do with zimbra whatsoever.

If you are running SCSI disks ofcourse smartd will fail because it only works for IDE drives.
