Default [SOLVED] Smtp ext. auth sending problem with new users

I use smtp auth, for sending mails like it was explainend in the Zimbra :: Wiki

My intern domain is mydomain.local, my extern domain is my-domain.com.

I use fetchmail to get mails from pop acc. and use extern auth for sending mails.

It worked perfect with the users i create when i installed the server.

But now i created new user and all of the emails from them get redirected from the external smtp server mail.my-domain.com.

I cant find any difference in the settings between the new users and the olds on.

Have anyone a idea why the emails got deferred, because mydomain.local could not resolved, but why can the old users send emails without problems)?

Has some one a idea?

/var/mail/info if a new user send mails, email got deferred:

Quote:
Nov 28 11:29:32 ctatwes08 postfix/qmgr[8555]: C88934B8114: from=, size=1113, nrcpt=1 (queue active)

/var/mail/info if a old user send mails, it works:

Quote:

Default

now i got some more details were the problem is but i cant still solve it

if i send with a old user, i got this postfix log:

Nov 29 00:28:27 ctatwes08 postfix/qmgr[22183]: 6250D4B8109: from=, size=2222, nrcpt=1 (queue active)

when i send with a new user i got this postfix log:

Nov 29 00:23:50 ctatwes08 postfix/qmgr[22183]: EA3324B8109: from=, size=5495, nrcpt=1 (queue active)

wo the problem is by the new user the from isnt replaced. But i all user have same account settings. And all users have under settings > account set their normal email adress (username@my-domain.com) instead of username@mydomain.local

All users set this under option:
From: Choose the name that appears in the "From" field of email messages

So why does it dont replay the from header by new user?
The extern mail server can not resolv the mails with mydomain.local in the header and deferred it.

I create all users with with version 6.06 and upgraded three times to 6.09.

Could it be possible that there are some input mask get lost in the setting in the update maybe?

i cant find any difference the user in the whole settings dialogs.

Has anyone a idea?

greetz,

It would seem that might be your problem, do you have a Split DNS set-up?

i dont have a split dns. I use a external smtp server to send emails.

All old users send emails with the external smtp domain in the from field from the email header like username@my-domain.com

But all new user send it with username@mydomain.local.

There are only some mail server that accept such mails like hotmail.

all others can resolve mydomain.local and throw the emails away.

But i cant find any different settings between new users and the old ones.

Default solved it

After i create a new user the domain masquerading doesnt work on the new user. The external server get emails from @domain.local instead of @my-domain.com but only from the new users.

The external host cant resolv @domain.local and derefered all mails.

i must set it up new, is this knowingly or a bug?

I fix it with setting the domain masq. new:

zmprov md zimbrahostname@mydomain.local zimbraMailCatchAllAddress @zimbrahostname.mydomain.local zimbraMailCatchAllCanonicalAddress @my-domain.com

After that postfix reload, and it was agian possible to send with all users.

But every time a must create a new user i must set it up new isnt the best solution or?
